What is the secret to getting the perfect wedding video?
I’m going to share 3 secrets on how to get the perfect wedding video.
1. Choose your other vendors wisely
Start by hiring CKP. Just kidding, but you do need to hire an experienced, highly-rated videographer. Your neighbor’s brother’s cousin may own a camera, but he is not your guy for this– leave capturing your wedding to the professionals. Do your research and find a videogrpaher who’s videos leave you teary eyed. If you can tear up a stranger’s wedding video, can you imagine what will happen when you watch your own?!
It’s not just the videographer though. All of the vendors you choose for your wedding come together to bring your vision to life. With that being said, think about how the vendors will affect each other. For example, if your DJ’s feed is poor quality, it will affect the audio of the video (unless your videographer is prepared with a backup solution!)
2. Exchange letters or Personal vows
I often get asked “how do your films feel so personal? I feel like I know these people after watching their film!” And honestly the secret is just sharing personal stories. Your wedding film should be a reflection of you as a couple and tell your story. And what better way to showcase your love and relationship then by hearing you speak from the heart directly to each other?
Standing up in front of all your family and friends exchanging vows may not be for you, so exchanging letters privately before your ceremony may be more your style. It’s always such a sweet, intimate moment when the couple reads a note from each other and it really sets the tone for the day.
3. Asking the right people to give a Toast
The toasts are always an intrical part of every wedding film. These are the people nearest and dearest to your heart; they’ve been through the ups and downs with you and they will tell us the best stories about you. We love a good story about our couple in their early dating years. Stories help add personality and tell the couples’ love story.
